Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a global financial trading company that requires a skilled Technical Lead to drive their software development lifecycle forward.

The office is located in the heart of South London, providing excellent transport links and a great work-life balance with a hybrid working arrangement requiring employees to be in the office 2 days per week.

As a Technical Lead, you will play a key role in designing and architecting software solutions across the full development life cycle. This includes leading Greenfield projects, system enhancements, maintenance, and integration efforts.

The company is committed to employee growth and skillset development, offering support for accreditations and certifications. They stay at the forefront of technology trends, implementing new technologies as they emerge, including AWS services such as Lambdas, Aurora, Cognito, EC2, and more.

You will collaborate closely with the product development team, trading colleagues, and other developers to deliver exceptional service to clients.

  • Proven expertise in Java
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferably 2:1 or above)
  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing concepts
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins
Highly Desirable Skills:
  • React experience
  • AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Docker/Kubernetes knowledge

The salary package on offer includes up to £65,000 + Bonus + 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays), providing an attractive compensation and benefits package for the right candidate.
