Job Title: Positive Behaviour Support Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Positive Behaviour Support Lead to join our team at YMCA Robin Hood Group. As a key member of our Children and Young People's Residential Therapeutic Service, you will play a vital role in promoting, protecting, and safeguarding the physical, emotional, and safety needs of children and young people in our care.

About the Role

As a Positive Behaviour Support Lead, you will lead and work as part of a peripatetic rapid response team to provide additional support to staff and children when they become dysregulated. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and delivering induction training on safeguarding, positive behaviour support, risk management, recording and reporting, ligature, and TeamTeach
  • Encouraging continuous professional development in these areas
  • Fostering positive behavioural support knowledge transfer to practice
  • Designing and delivering proactive and reactive key working
  • Facilitating reflective debriefs
  • Utilizing a risk reduction approach to audit, analyze, and evaluate the use of TeamTeach within the service
  • Supervising and developing positive behaviour support professionals within the team
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Positive Behaviour Support, leadership, and management. You will have a minimum of two years' experience in a residential and/or similar environment, with a Master's degree (desirable) or a Bachelor's degree (essential) in PBS or a related field of Applied Behaviour Analysis. You will also have experience in designing, developing, and delivering training, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
