Job Title: Apprentice - Level 3 in Engineering and Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice - Level 3 in Engineering and Manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of new and improved manufacturing processes, tooling, and concepts, as well as undertaking cost-saving and obsolescence management projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review existing product design and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  2. Propose, implement, and monitor optimization solutions to deliver superior quality at reduced cost.
  3. Develop and deploy new manufacturing processes and tooling.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  5. Conduct cost-saving and obsolescence management projects.
Requirements:
  1. BEng or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar field.
  2. 2+ years manufacturing experience (any industry considered).
  3. Experience in application of problem-solving and continuous improvement skills (Lean / 6σ).
  4. Experience in New Product Introduction/Development.
  5. Experienced in creation, deployment, and training of procedures, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
  6. Experience in product and process validation/verification.
  7. Demonstrated time management with the ability to meet internal deadlines and customer due dates.
  8. Demonstrated analytical and data-based approach to decision making.
  9. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to define and demand in an effective manner.
  10. Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab (or other statistical analysis software).
  11. Experience in Mechanical/Electrical CAD modelling (Solidworks / Altium or similar).
  12. Be eligible to work full time in the UK without restriction.
