Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting equipment, performing planned preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect equipment to identify potential issues and perform maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment.
  • Report any defective equipment or safety hazards to management.
  • Highlight and resolve health and safety risks on site.
  • Take ownership of your own and colleagues' health and safety by escalating concerns to management.
  • Perform point-of-work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Have an awareness of budget position and how unplanned events can impact the budget.
  • Work at other sites as required, covering holiday, sickness, or extra workload.
  • Use a PDA device to record work orders and attend team meetings.

Requirements

  • Be a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude.
  • Take ownership of responding quickly to faults and identifying the best solution.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be proactive and take the lead on recommendations and improvements.
  • Be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
  • Have knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

  • Competitive salary between £24,800 - £28,000 per annum.
  • 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with length of service.
