Practice Manager, Orthopaedics Role Description

The Practice Manager, Orthopaedics at MAP is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the orthopaedic group in Windsor. This role requires a clinical leader who can manage the operations of 9 orthopaedic surgeons and their support staff, including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Receptionists, and Surgical Booking Clerks. The ideal candidate will work closely with MAP Senior Leadership to implement best practices, enhance patient experience, and deliver outstanding orthopaedic care to the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the orthopaedic group practice, including management of all staff, physicians, and administrative support staff.
  • Coach, develop, and train staff to become exceptional members of the healthcare team.
  • Create best practices and ensure accountability at all levels of the clinic.
  • Work with senior leadership on auditing clinical processes and implementing changes to improve clinic operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations flow, including scheduling and coordination with local hospitals and community partners.
  • Stay current on regulatory requirements from the CPSO, MOH, and other regulators in the medical industry.
  • Analyze and gather key performance indicators to improve results through key initiatives.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of work experience as an RPN or RN in combination with some management experience. A degree in health sciences and/or business administration is an asset. Experience managing a private medical clinic is also an asset.
