Job Title: Flexible Community Podiatrist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Podiatrist to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Flexible Community Podiatrist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community-based setting, managing an inpatient clinical caseload and providing specialist podiatry input to the Diabetic Foot MDT clinic. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess and treat patients with complex foot pathologies, including diabetic foot complications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with diabetic foot complications, including wound care and debridement.
  • Provide specialist podiatry input to the Diabetic Foot MDT clinic, working closely with vascular and diabetic teams.
  • Develop and implement care plans for patients with complex foot and ankle wounds.
  • Collaborate with community nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including education and training for staff and patients.
Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced Podiatrist with a strong background in diabetes care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Essential qualifications include a BSc in Podiatry and current registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council. Post-registration training in diabetes and diabetic footcare is also essential.
