Salary: circa £90,000 per annum + Car, Bonus & Benefits

Location: West Midlands

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior finance leader will lead a dedicated team, responsible for all financial aspects of the business, driving the financial strategy and planning, ensuring the company's financial health and stability, supporting sustainable growth and profitability, and playing a crucial role in structuring the business for sale and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement financial planning and strategy
  2. Lead financial management and risk management functions
  3. Oversee investment and fundraising activities
  4. Lead a high-performing team and manage stakeholders
  5. Structure the business for sale and support the sales process

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  2. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations
  3. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  4. Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office
  5. Excellent leadership and communication skills
  6. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  7. Experience in financial modelling and forecasting

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience in managing financial operations in an engineering company, ideally high-volume machined components
  2. Knowledge of industry-specific financial challenges and opportunities
  3. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  6. Experience with ERP systems and financial software implementation
  7. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
