Child Development Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and caring Child Development Assistant to join our team at Essex County Council. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting children who have experienced trauma, helping them to develop the skills and resilience needed to thrive in their communities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each child. This includes providing a safe and supportive living environment, facilitating educational and recreational activities, and promoting positive relationships with family members and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing 24/7 care and support to children in a residential setting
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Facilitating educational and recreational activities to promote cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with family members and caregivers
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Level 3 Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits

This is a competitive role with a salary of £26,834.50 - £34,244.10 per annum, depending on experience.
