We are currently recruiting a Support Worker based in Brampton. As an ideal candidate, you will have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. Your role will involve supporting an individual with autism who is non-verbal but uses Makaton and visuals to communicate.
The successful applicant will need to provide support with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and accompanying the individual to health appointments. Knowledge of Makaton, positive behavior support, and autism would be beneficial, but all training will be provided.
To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, be patient and understanding, and have a willingness to learn and adapt to the individual's needs. The enthusiasm to go above and beyond and make a real difference in someone's life is essential.
