We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at Prince Personnel Limited. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team in a variety of accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Process sales ledger transactions, including credit control and debt collection.
- Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate records.
- Administer payroll for two monthly cycles, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Post entries to the Nominal Ledger, including prepayments and accruals.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent Excel skills, including the use of formulas and spreadsheet creation.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
