Job Description:

This role involves providing maintenance support to automation and business IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations. The successful candidate will have experience in leading projects and maintenance, with a deep understanding of automation, controls, and production IT systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain automation and business IT systems to ensure efficient plant operations
  • Lead projects and maintenance activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues with automation systems, implementing improvements as needed
  • Work closely with suppliers to implement novel technologies and improve business automation

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a technically focused subject (e.g., engineering)
  • Member of an engineering body working towards chartership
  • Proven experience leading Automation/IT projects and maintenance
  • Strong experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming
  • Knowledge of GAMP and regulatory requirements (e.g., EHS, GMP)

Work Environment:

  • Office-based work with some time spent at suppliers or on plant
  • On-call shift pattern to provide critical support during out-of-hours production

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
