About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Specialist Nurse Practitioner to join our Adult Community Learning Disability Team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our experienced Epilepsy Specialist Nurse to provide specialist nursing care, epilepsy training, and expert clinical and professional resources to individuals with learning disabilities and epilepsy, their families, and support networks.

Main Duties
  • Contribute to the continuity of care for adults with dual diagnosis of learning disabilities and epilepsy in community settings.
  • Provide enhanced health and quality of life outcomes for people with learning disabilities by improving the quality of local services through education and teaching sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure seamless care and support.

Person Specification
  • Current professional registration with the NMC.
  • Professional qualification as a Registered Nurse.
  • Relevant diploma or evidence of working towards this, or equivalent experience.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or willingness to undertake.
