Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Catering Assistant to join our team at Warmere Court. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive delicious and nutritious meals, prepared with care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef in food preparation, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standard.
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Load and unload the dishwasher, wash up equipment, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors, ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy.
  • Clear tea trolleys and empty kitchen rubbish, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a catering or healthcare environment is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
