About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join an established GMP manufacturing facility leading their Analytical Chemistry team, to ensure efficient testing and reporting of samples. You will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that the team meets all quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line management of a team of Analytical Chemists, including performance reviews, training, and development
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the team on analytical methods, instrumentation, and data analysis
  • Spearheading compliance in line with Good Manufacturing Practice GMP and Good Laboratory GLP regulations
  • Managing the team's workload and prioritising tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Cross departmental collaboration within the organisation to support business objectives and goals

Requirements:
  • BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science
  • Demonstrable 'hands-on' technical experience in Analytical Chemistry within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment, across a range of analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV and other Wet Chemistry methods
  • Proven experience in managing teams and training staff, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A high-level understanding of GMP and GLP and regulations in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills to offer technical guidance and support
  • Full UK license with access to a vehicle would be highly advantageous
