About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lung Oncology Support Worker to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Lung team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with lung cancer, ensuring their care is personalized and effective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide holistic needs assessments and care planning for patients.
  • Provide administrative support to the Lung Oncology CNS team, including data collection and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assist patients with queries and signpost them to relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient-centered care plans.
Requirements
  • Currently employed in a relevant healthcare or social care background.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and experience.
  • Ability to study to level 3 or equivalent.
  • GCSE or 'O' level Maths & English grade C or above.
