Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team at GSL Education. As a key member of our Physical Education department, you will play a vital role in promoting physical activity, supporting students in their athletic development, and fostering a love for sports and healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students during PE classes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Equipment Management: Set up equipment for various sports activities and events, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for students and staff.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.
  • Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among students and staff.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize and assist with extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and events, providing opportunities for students to develop their skills and interests.
  • Curriculum Integration: Collaborate with other staff to integrate physical activity into the school's overall curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded education for our students.
  • Health and Fitness Promotion: Promote the importance of health and fitness through workshops and school initiatives, inspiring students to develop healthy lifestyles and habits.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Must hold a valid teaching certification and have experience in a sports-related field or working with children.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a teaching or coaching role, with a strong background in physical education and sports development.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and staff of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Certifications: First Aid certification and a valid DBS check are required for this role.
