Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Community Paediatrician to join our team at Medway Community Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children with complex needs, working closely with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead or contribute to clinical areas, including complex paediatric neuro-disability, children with complex needs, and neurodiversity presentations.
  • Assess and diagnose children with developmental delay, intellectual disorders, and disabilities, and provide medical advice to allied health professionals.
  • Work within the violet pathway to assess children with developmental delay, intellectual disorders, and disabilities, and within the indigo MDT diagnostics service with children who present with a range of neurodiversity presentations.
  • Provide medical advice to allied health professionals on patient clinical matters and participate in the statutory special education needs and disabilities and EHCP process.
Requirements
  • MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent, and full GMC registration.
  • Experience in community paediatrics, with a strong understanding of clinical governance and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and keyboard skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and make decisions.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to develop themselves and others.
