Paediatric Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Consultant to join our team at Medway Community Healthcare. As a key member of our community paediatrics team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children with complex needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to clinical areas, including complex paediatric neuro-disability, children with complex needs, and neurodiversity presentations.
• Assess and diagnose children with developmental delay, intellectual disorders, and disabilities.
• Provide medical advice to allied health professionals and participate in statutory special education needs and disabilities processes.
• Supervise and support less experienced doctors and work in conjunction with nurses and therapists.

Requirements

• Extensive experience working in community paediatrics.
• Ability to use IT and maintain high-quality electronic clinical records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of supervising and supporting less experienced doctors.
