Job Description

At Pro-Tax, we are seeking a highly skilled VAT Senior Manager/Associate Director to join our Indirect Tax business. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on challenging assignments and help clients succeed.

About the Role

We're looking for someone with significant experience in UK VAT, particularly in real estate and construction tax. As a VAT Senior Manager/Associate Director, you will be responsible for managing a large and varied client portfolio, providing VAT compliance advice, and identifying opportunities for selling new services to existing clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recent key updates and areas of focus in Real Estate and Construction VAT. They will also possess excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for project delivery on your portfolio
  • Review work prepared by junior members of staff
  • Liaise with HMRC to ensure smooth interactions
  • Identify risk and technical matters, as well as selling opportunities, to Partners
  • Develop contact with clients at senior level and maintain relationships
Requirements
  • SIGNIFICANT UNDERSTANDING OF AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITHIN UK VAT
  • IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF RECENT KEY UPDATES AND AREAS OF FOCUS IN REAL ESTATE AND CONSTRUCTION VAT
  • RESPONSIBILITY FOR VAT COMPLIANCE FOR OWN PORTFOLIO AND VAT ADVICE REQUIRED BY YOUR CLIENTS
  • ABILITY TO MANAGE A LARGE AND VARIED CLIENT PORTFOLIO
  • ABILITY TO ACTIVELY SEEK OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELLING NEW SERVICES TO EXISTING CLIENTS
