Job Title: Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs to navigate their educational journey and promote their mental and emotional well-being.

You will work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide the support and encouragement necessary for students to succeed both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust and rapport with students.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Offering one-on-one and group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them build emotional resilience and well-being.
  • Assisting students with coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.
  • Helping students develop social and emotional skills to thrive in the school environment.
  • Working closely with teachers, special educational staff, and parents to create and implement individualised support plans.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, self-confidence, and independence among students.
  • Supporting students to manage their mental health needs and providing a safe, supportive space when required.

Salary: £84-95 per day (inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay)
