Job Title: Senior Commercial Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Commercial Development Manager to join our team at Macgregor Cavendish (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through the acquisition of new customers and the expansion of existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a portfolio of prospects through agreed channels
  • Gain and implement new business opportunities while maximizing revenue and margin
  • Develop and implement an approach to secure competitors in the shortest time possible
  • Ensure strategic management of customer relationships to drive the highest possible level of service and identify extra opportunities within customers, associated companies, suppliers, and peer groups
  • Develop and implement a sales plan and call cycle that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new business and maximizes growth of existing major account customers to achieve individual sales (volume and profitability) targets
  • Manage all customer-related service information by communication to the Supplier Manager to resolve customer issues and protect customer relationships
  • Monitor customer performance, loyalty, and satisfaction to measure success, business fluctuation, and possible business at risk. Take appropriate corrective action
  • Continuously develop knowledge, commercial awareness, and own skills and abilities to provide the best possible standard of sales practices and maximize own contribution to the selling process
  • Promote brand image and values through own appearance and behavior to reflect high standards and develop customers' relationships
  • Ability to understand customers' IT and despatch infrastructure to mould solutions to support appropriately
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales background in a consultative selling environment within the Parcels or Logistics industry
  • Business/commercial acumen
  • Proven success in acquisition of new business
  • Proven success in management of existing relationships
