About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Fire Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing large and complex projects, working with clients to deliver world-class life safety solutions, and mentoring and training graduates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large and complex projects to ensure successful delivery to clients.
  • Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK and globally, involving various types of buildings.
  • Develop and use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and analysis for smoke movement.
  • Utilize other computer modeling software, such as CFAST, Pyrosim, and Pathfinder, to provide alternative fire engineering solutions.
  • Lead a team of engineers, mentoring and training graduates to ensure their growth and development.
  • Client-facing, with the ability to handle construction-related queries and contribute to business development efforts.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A background in fire engineering, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ideal candidate is or working towards becoming a Chartered engineer.
