Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Programmer to join our well-established team. As a Senior CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for overseeing a busy CNC machine shop, running a number of multi-axis machining centres to produce precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Shop Management: Oversee the daily operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring maximum production levels across all machinery.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of multi-skilled CNC machinists, providing guidance and support to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement programs to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and increase productivity.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all parts for tolerance, ensuring conformity with customer drawings.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all department health & safety regulations are adhered to, by carrying out risk assessments, safety equipment, and PPE checks.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience within a CNC machine shop, managing production and a team of machinists.
  • CNC Programming Skills: Strong bias towards multi-axis milling, with the ability to write programs in any one of FANUC, Siemens, or Mazatrol.
  • Staff Management Skills: Effective staff management skills, to ensure the team is motivated and performing well.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Demonstrable experience with Health & Safety compliance and best practices.
