Academic Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy

We are seeking an exceptional academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Birkbeck University of London.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop counselling and psychotherapy programmes, incorporating experiential and critical teaching methods.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development, ensuring alignment with the School's expertise and goals.
- Organise teaching and research activities, fostering a collaborative culture within the School.
- Engage in knowledge transfer and other activities to support the School's strong collaborative culture.
- PhD in a related subject, building on the School's expertise.
- Proven record of publishing high-quality research and experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Understanding of Birkbeck's principles of widening participation in higher education and working with diverse learners.
Birkbeck University of London offers a competitive salary, pension scheme, 31 days paid leave, flexible working arrangements, and generous benefits, all while being located in the heart of Central London.
This is a permanent, open-ended contract with a part-time schedule (28 hours a week). The salary is £33,892 rising to £46,843 per annum (pro-rated £42,365 rising to £58,554 per annum FTE). The College's London Pay Scale includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance for staff working in the London area.
