Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar is seeking Relief Domestic Assistants to join our team and contribute to a clean and safe environment for our service users.

This role involves providing essential cleaning services within our care home, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained. You will be responsible for adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols, contributing to a positive and comfortable living space for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the care home, including common areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
  • Adhere to established cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Use appropriate cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a care setting.
  • A thorough understanding of hygiene practices and infection control measures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role requires the wearing and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Successful applicants will be subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.

Weekend cover is primarily sought for this position, although hours are available throughout the week.
