Job Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Relief Domestic Assistant to join our team at Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar. As a Relief Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our care home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the care home, including cleaning schedules and tasks
  • Assist with laundry, linen, and other domestic duties as required
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient service
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

This is a relief position, covering periods of annual leave and sickness absence. Weekend cover is mainly sought for this position, although hours are available throughout the week. Salary is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Please see attached 'Job Description & Person Specification' for further information.
