We are seeking an experienced Inspector Day Shift role to join our team at Jobs in Science. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting physical inspections of plants, planting material and produce at border control points and inspection centres during the day shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical inspections of plants, planting material and produce during the day shift.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and regulatory bodies to manage expectations and resolve issues.
  • Travel to various sites to conduct inspections and participate in ongoing training and meetings.
  • Work safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • GCSE/O level or equivalent in English, Maths and a science subject.
  • Fully IT literate with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to personal transport is required.

Estimated salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience and location. A DBS check is mandatory for this role.
