Job Title: Deputy Manager

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to join our team as Deputy Manager of a residential care home for children with disabilities.

About the Role

The Deputy Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times. This will include being responsible for all safeguarding matters, building and maintaining effective relationships with staff, children, and families, and providing leadership and guidance to the staff team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the staff team in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, children, and families
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the staff team
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home is run in accordance with NCC policy and procedure
  • Participate in regular audits and reviews of the quality systems within the home
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with 3 years' experience of working with children and young people in a managerial capacity within a residential setting, and a minimum of 2 years working with children with disabilities. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work effectively in a team.
