About the Role:

Smart DCC is looking for an experienced EPMO Mobilisation Leader to join their team in London or Manchester. The successful candidate will work 8 days per month in the office and enjoy a hybrid working model.

The EPMO Mobilisation Leader will play a critical role in designing, establishing, and ensuring the near-term operational success of the EPMO while permanent staff are recruited into roles. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including the design and mobilisation of EPMO services and capabilities, project management standards, methodologies, data management, PPM tooling, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the design, development, and implementation of EPMO strategies and frameworks across the organisation.
  2. Lead on the design, refinement, and implementation of EPMO services and processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, documented, and meet the highest standards.
  3. Develop training and communication to launch and embed new EPMO services.

Requirements:

  • Must have proven, significant design experience - designing and operating portfolio management offices in a complex organisational setting.
  • Must have excellent senior management relationship development skills with the confidence to effectively challenge others where appropriate, whether that be Board, ExCo, or Senior Leadership Team levels.
  • Must have proven Project/Programme Expertise – Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Must have an analytical mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and be flexible and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Change Management – The ability to influence, shape, and drive improvement initiatives in fast-paced and complex environments with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Stakeholder Management – Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholder interactions, and resolve conflicting priorities if required.

  • A competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
