Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at NOVELUS LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about quality assurance and health and safety. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying areas for quality improvement and coordinating initiatives to enhance our processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring it remains compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct audits against ISO 9001 to identify areas for improvement
  • Manage non-conforming parts and processes, performing inspections as required
  • Maintain and enforce Health and Safety policies, conducting risk assessments and audits
  • Produce Health and Safety Method Statements and Plans, maintaining COSHH assessments and Fire Risk assessments
RequirementsEssential Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements
  • Experience in conducting Quality System Audits
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to understand and read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Computer literate with good user knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience conducting Health and Safety Assessments and Audits
  • Recognised Health & Safety qualification and ISO 9001 audit training

The salary for this position is approximately £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure includes a comprehensive benefits package, including a contributory pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
