Vehicle Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to carry out repairs on vehicles using best practice techniques, adhering to approved repair methods and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle repairs in accordance with manufacturers' repair instructions, prioritizing efficient completion and adherence to set repair times.
  • Utilize materials and consumables cost-effectively, following suppliers' guidelines.
  • Document all repairs accurately to meet company standards, downloading repair instructions from ISTA.
  • Continuously learn and apply new methods and techniques, including participation in training courses.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, adhering to site Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the team, workshop/accounts teams, and management to ensure effective communication and completion of all tasks.
  • Remain flexible to accommodate varying duties and shift schedules.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 City and Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the motor trade.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, especially under pressure to meet targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid full driving license.
  • Good education in core GCSE subjects.
