We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to carry out repairs on vehicles using best practice techniques, adhering to approved repair methods and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform vehicle repairs in accordance with manufacturers' repair instructions, prioritizing efficient completion and adherence to set repair times.
- Utilize materials and consumables cost-effectively, following suppliers' guidelines.
- Document all repairs accurately to meet company standards, downloading repair instructions from ISTA.
- Continuously learn and apply new methods and techniques, including participation in training courses.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment, adhering to site Health and Safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the team, workshop/accounts teams, and management to ensure effective communication and completion of all tasks.
- Remain flexible to accommodate varying duties and shift schedules.
- Level 3 City and Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the motor trade.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, especially under pressure to meet targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid full driving license.
- Good education in core GCSE subjects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced customer-oriented mindset with a positive and constructive approach.
- Creativity and adaptability to devise new approaches and solutions.
- Capacity for urgency and quick decision-making in critical situations.
- Versatility and willingness to adapt talents to changing assignments.
- Good understanding of BMW repair methods and guidelines.
Flexibility in shift work is required. Willingness to carry out ad hoc duties and actively promote/participate in areas supporting Core Values.
