About the Role

Trial Balance is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator Audit to support our AP team in Barnstaple. As a key member of our team, you will provide excellent customer service by acting as an initial point of contact for supplier enquiries and ensuring payment authorisation of supplier invoices.

To succeed in this role, you will require a minimum of 4-6 months of experience in a general ledger position, preferably in a high-volume environment, and strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel. We offer a competitive salary package of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, along with a range of benefits, including a hybrid working arrangement, generous holiday allowance, and superb pension scheme.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Purchase Ledger Clerk role
  • Act as an initial point of contact for supplier enquiries
  • Liaise with colleagues to resolve discrepancies
  • Creation and location of invoices with accurate VAT status and coding
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Payment authorisation of supplier invoices
  • Assisting with month end procedures
  • Assisting with AP system process improvements
