Senior Nurse Manager

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior nurse to take on a leadership role within the complex health and elderly medicine specialty at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
This position offers a fantastic chance to jointly lead and manage a dedicated team at Wythenshawe Hospital, working alongside an experienced Ward Manager and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care to elderly patients.
The successful candidate will be required to provide senior leadership of the nursing team, monitoring, maintaining, and improving care standards, ensuring quality patient experience, and maintaining workforce KPIs within the care of frail elderly patients.
Applicants should have prior experience at Band 6 or Band 7 level and possess experience within change management, with excellent communication skills and the ability to initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing continuity in dealing with and overseeing operational nursing issues on a daily basis, leading, managing, and directing a team efficiently and effectively.

Key Requirements
- Registered nurse with post-registration study or relevant specialist qualification
- Experience of working at a Band 6 level with relevant acute experience
