Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practitioner to join our Primary Care Network in Barnsley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our network.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, queries, home visits, reviewing and signing repeat and acute prescriptions, reviewing test results and patient correspondences, medical reports, referral letters NHS/private in a timely manner
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from Federation team members
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Collect data for audit purposes
- Work towards all QOF/LES and DES targets
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding handwritten prescriptions wherever possible)
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
- Undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care
- Newly Qualified GP Practitioner
This is a full-time position, working within our Primary Care Network in Barnsley. You will be required to work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our network.
