We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our Environment and Health division. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for managing and undertaking ecological surveys, reporting, and ecological mitigation design. You will also liaise with relevant stakeholders and manage small to medium-scale projects with input on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and undertake ecological surveys and produce high-quality reports, including habitat and species surveys.
  • Undertake ecological mitigation design and delivery.
  • Liaise with ecological regulators and planning authorities.
  • Manage small to medium-scale projects with input on large-scale projects.
  • Main point of contact with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organizations, and sub-consultants.
  • Deliver technical work on complex projects.
  • Prepare fee proposals and assist with client relationship management.
  • Supervise and manage more junior ecologists and sub-consultants, and input to resource planning.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a good knowledge of relevant environmental/ecology legislation and an understanding of the UK planning system in relation to development and the integration of ecology. You should have experience in field work and the application of survey techniques in accordance with best practice guidance. You should also be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English to a range of audiences.
