Electrical CAD Designer Opportunity

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Electrical CAD Designer to join our team on a staff basis. This role involves working on the design of electrical systems for our World Class Submarines, utilizing CAD tools to produce 3D models and 2D electrical schematics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop 3D models of electrical systems and equipment integration
  • Produce 2D electrical schematics and system diagrams
  • Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to ensure integrated designs meet customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with other design teams and stakeholders
  • Work with a mentor to develop skills and knowledge in electrical design and CAD tools
Requirements:
  • Relevant apprenticeship, engineering qualification, or previous experience as an Electrical Designer/Draughtsperson
  • Experience in electrical compartment integration and Engineering Standards at component and sub-component/assembly level
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level
  • Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques
