About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Decommissioning Key Account Manager. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and strategic development in the UK decommissioning sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the Decommissioning 5 Year Plan, working closely with our technical, commercial, and project teams.
  • Formulate market strategy plans designed to deliver the 5 Year Plan objectives, identifying opportunities and managing them through to submission of tenders.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the decommissioning estate, including clients, partners, and government bodies.
  • Work alongside our communications team to showcase Ansaldo Nuclear's decommissioning capabilities.
  • Identify and assist in the development of business investment plans, ranging from targeted SQEP recruitment to CAPEX investments.
  • Manage and maximise the full benefit of our position on existing frameworks, acting as the single point of contact where applicable.
  • Champion the development of new accounts and partnerships, working with our technical teams to identify solutions to clients' key challenges.
  • Work in conjunction with our Defence and Energy KAMs to develop cohesive strategic plans.
  • Deliver business KPIs to target, including working capital, revenue, order intake, and hit rate ratio.
  • Ensure commercial matters are acceptable to our clients during the tender phase, working alongside our financial and commercial teams.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Nuclear, or a scientific discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer.
  • Experience working within the UK decommissioning sector preferred.
  • At least 5 years' experience delivering business growth in similar roles.
  • Excellent leadership and influential skills.
  • Able to write high-quality documentation, including presentations, tenders, and business cases.
  • Naturally able to effectively communicate with our clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of delivering tenders in an EPC and/or consultancy environment essential.
  • Able to understand and effectively communicate clients' high-level requirements and key drivers.
  • Able to inspire and lead our teams to exceed company targets.
  • Able to achieve SC clearance.

  • £65,000 - £75,000 salary, depending on experience.
