We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Rigging Engineer to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a key member of our construction engineering team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on rigging planning and execution standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement construction recommendations on multiple disciplines and functional integration.
- Facilitate the development and execution of approved constructability ideas and plans.
- Organize input to the constructability program process and schedule, identifying construction-related requirements to other functions in time to support their estimating efforts during project development and Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase.
- Develop and disseminate constructability review matrices.
- Conduct constructability awareness training.
- Develop and deliver constructability awareness training and/or enterprise or project supervisory and technical training.
- Maintain and develop enterprise-wide processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with projects to implement quality management systems.
- Sponsor and develop enterprise applications.
- Advise and contribute to proposal efforts.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of rigging planning and execution standards and requirements.
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience in construction engineering in the use of lifting equipment, alternative heavy lifting systems, mobile gantries, jacking, tailing, rigging equipment, and load distribution systems, including an understanding of transport/transfer of equipment, soil mechanics, and structural steel design.
- Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Indian standards and specifications and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated with the construction/rigging activities.
- Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
- Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
- Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
