Job Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support our client schools in Gateshead. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons for SEN pupils.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of dynamic SEN lessons, collaborating with teachers to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
  • Provide personalized support to students, fostering academic excellence and promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and welcoming classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation and engagement.
  • Work alongside educators to develop creative teaching strategies and resources, enhancing the learning experience for all students.

Requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with a focus on primary education.
  • Have prior experience working with SEN pupils, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs and requirements.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, energetic, and caring approach to work with secondary level students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo the process.
  • Have a fully checkable work history.
