Job Opportunity for Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our client schools in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experienced teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Provide personalized support to students, fostering academic excellence and promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Work closely with educators to develop creative teaching strategies and resources that meet the unique needs of SEN students.

Requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with a focus on primary education.
  • Have prior experience working with SEN pupils, demonstrating a proactive and caring approach.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo the process.
  • Have a fully checkable work history.

Safeguarding and Child Protection:

The successful applicant must have a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures. They must also satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
