Job Overview

Cobalt Recruitment is working with a highly regarded SME consultancy in central London, seeking a Director of Town Planning to build upon the success of a lean planning team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in town planning, managing the planning application process of major projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering new and existing client relationships, managing a team of planning consultants, reviewing and reporting to the board on P&L, and leading client and design team meetings. They will also contribute to determining the direction of the business with the support of an experienced and well-established team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fostering new and existing client relationships to generate new business.
  • Managing a team of planning consultants.
  • Reviewing and reporting to the board on P&L.
  • Leading client and design team meetings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Project management and budgetary controls on projects.
  • Supporting more junior members of staff.
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of experience in town planning and managed the planning application process of major projects across the UK.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Gained extensive experience in business development to achieve successful outcomes.
  • A 'can do' attitude and be a team player.
