About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Circle Health Group. As a key member of our physiotherapy team, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation of patients with orthopaedic and musculo-skeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the physiotherapist in the rehabilitation of patients using a range of delegated exercises within your level of competency.
  • Develop and run the ESCAPE pain programme and other rehab groups for Circle Integrated Care in Greenwich.
  • Liaise with physiotherapist, the patient and carers as appropriate.
  • Undertake and maintain stock levels and ordering of equipment.
  • Make accurate written records of work undertaken with patients.
  • Assist the physiotherapist in the rehabilitation of patients using a range of delegated exercises within your level of competency.
  • Prioritise your workload as delegated by the physiotherapist.
  • Undertake your own CPD, including mandatory training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical specialty through research and training.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or Equivalent Qualification.
  • Ability to communicate both routine and complex/sensitive information to Service Users, clients, relatives and staff and other stakeholders.
  • Able to feedback and engage in decision making when appropriate.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
  • Manage your own time effectively, ensuring all delegated tasks carried out in a timely manner.
  • Experience of working in a health and social care setting.
  • Evidence of relevant training/CPD.
  • Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team or within the fitness industry.
  • Level 2/3 gym/instructor/personal trainer or equivalent.
  • Level 3 exercise referral or a level 4 qualification.
