Geomatics Surveyor

Keltbray Infrastructure Services is seeking a highly skilled Geomatics Surveyor - UAV Pilot to join our team. As a key member of our Survey Team, you will be responsible for on-site data acquisition using UAV platforms and ensuring data integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct mission planning, equipment preparation, and liaise with ATC as required.
• Play a significant role in the processing, management, and presentation of data, including photography, videography, photogrammetry, LiDAR, thermal imagery, and GNSS survey control data.
• Assist with the management of aircraft, maintenance, and software updates as needed.
• Manage flight logs and update associated documentation.

Requirements:

• HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent.
• PfCO GVC certificate with experience flying multirotor and fixed-wing drones/model aircraft in a commercial environment.
• Experience with laser-scanning products and advanced data manipulation for BIM implementation is beneficial.
• Understanding of photogrammetry principles and software processes/applications involved.
• Experience in preparing drone and survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Experience with flight planning, meteorology, system preparation, and airspace management in compliance with CAA regulations.
• Proficient use of GPS kit/Total Station/Level.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid report writing and compilation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, high levels of organisation, and ability to communicate effectively as part of a diverse team.
• Full UK driving licence for travel around the country.
