Gaming Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist

We are a world-class partner to the games industry, and we need your expertise to ensure our customers' games are perfect before release. As a Gaming Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional user experiences.

What will you do?

  • You will be responsible for testing games to identify linguistic bugs and ensuring in-game text is accurate and culturally sensitive.
  • You will learn and follow our optimized LQA process and professional standards, which are industry-leading.
  • You will use industry-standard bug databases to write detailed reports that showcase your attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • You will own the bug resolution process, ensuring issues are fixed and implemented correctly.
  • You will become an expert in LQA across various projects, from Indie to AAA titles, and develop specialized knowledge areas.
  • You will create and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle, including documentation, LQA processes, and reporting methods.
  • You will collaborate with developers to gather test requirements and ensure effective localization QA.
  • You will continuously seek ways to improve processes, take ownership of additional tasks, and drive efficiency in your work.
  • You will work closely with the QA team to achieve shared goals.

Requirements:

  • You must be an expert in Croatian language and culture
  • You should have strong proficiency in written and spoken English
  • You should be passionate about video games and committed to delivering exceptional user experiences
  • You should be a team player, able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • You should be proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic
  • You should have a keen eye for detail and a focus on quality
  • You should be comfortable with computers and have good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • You should have the right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading
  • Familiarity with software tools used in LQA testing (test case management and text editing)
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ)
  • Understanding of the video game industry and trends
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics or a related field
