Job Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Rochester. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems
  • Health and safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Collaboration with other teams to resolve maintenance issues

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • TWO years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
