Civil and Estates Engineer

Main Purpose and Scope of Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a safe, cost-effective, and efficient Civil and Estates Infrastructure across the airport site. This will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including airport management, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the maintenance of Civils and Estates Infrastructure, including runways, roads, pavements, and other airport facilities.
  • Coordinating with contractors and staff to resolve infrastructure issues and ensure smooth airport operations.
  • Undertaking duties associated with supporting contractor management, including engineering briefings, inspections, and documentation management.
  • Supporting the management of maintenance, alteration, adaptation, or installation work to relevant airport infrastructure.
  • Providing operational support, technical information, advice, and recommendations on infrastructure to the Civils and Estates Manager and other clients as required.

Qualifications, Capabilities, and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a HND in Civil Engineering and at least 2+ years' experience within a large, complex facilities environment. Experience working within the airport or highways sector is desirable.

Flexibility:

The successful candidate will be required to carry out such other duties commensurate with the grading of the post which may be determined from time to time.
