About the Role:
Voyage Care Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Taunton. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in leading our residential service and providing exceptional care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, and visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered.
- Assist the Manager with the day-to-day management of the service, including allocating shifts, booking training, and inducting new colleagues.
- Support individuals to gain independence in their daily lives, while promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a sense of community and respect among colleagues and individuals supported.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, and visual impairments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and individuals supported.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the service.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care and promoting the rights and dignity of individuals supported.
