Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Altrincham. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work full-time throughout school hours to provide emotional support to students.
  • Build positive relationships with students and assist in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
  • Encourage and reinforce positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and professionals to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of SEMH, behaviour management, and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
