About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative 2D Layout Artist to join our team at Blue Zoo Animation Studio. As a key member of our Layout team, you will be responsible for providing linework background art and additional assets for our upcoming 2D project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up Photoshop files and create high-quality animation layout drawings based on storyboard panels, maintaining the show's style and aesthetic.
  • Accurately interpret the perspective and composition laid out in a storyboard, ensuring a strong visual narrative.
  • Utilize your expertise to strengthen the show's visual language, contributing to the overall artistic vision.
  • Support the team with fixes and revisions as needed, working collaboratively to ensure project success.
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Organize your workflow using our provided work trackers, keeping the team informed of your progress and ensuring seamless collaboration.
About You

We are looking for a talented individual with:

  • Excellent perspective skills, with a keen eye for detail and composition.
  • A great sense of staging and character posing, with the ability to adapt to the required design style.
  • Proficient experience with Photoshop software, with a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with team members and take direction.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
