About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our close-knit assembly team at a leading supplier of industrial automated machinery. Based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, this business offers a secure and challenging role for an engineer motivated by hands-on mechanical work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and fitting of mechanical systems and components
  • Welding and small fabrications
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings
  • Competently using power tools and test equipment
  • Inspecting and checking fitted parts and sub-assemblies
  • Adhering to all company H&S procedures
Requirements
  • Mechanical Fitting experience on industrial size equipment
  • Time served engineering background; no specific qualifications required
  • MIG Welding experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics (desirable)
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently to time frames
